The workmanship is impeccable, the design corresponds to the typical Sony look for years. In addition, the features of the waterproof Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact leaves nothing to be desired. The 5.1-inch full-HD display provides good contrast in the CHIP test and is extremely bright and well-coated. The smartphone uses the current Android 8, reacts lightning fast and offers a practicable battery life. The 20-megapixel camera snaps neat photos, but it does not quite match the quality of some other high-end smartphones. For video recording, the cam offers a slow-motion feature.

Class announcement from the discounter
The costly successor with rimless display and new design, the Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact, is coming soon. This fact pushes the price of its predecessor, and Aldi Nord undercuts the other shops for many euros. 349 euros! The Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact has not been so cheap so far and makes it an attractive price-performance package for the upper smartphone class. With the Aldi Nord offer, you’re not doing anything wrong. Elsewhere you mostly pay well over 400 euros for the very good model ( directly to the Bestcheck price comparison ). If the Xperia XZ1 Compact does not suit you or you live outside of the Aldi-North region, then the Samsung Galaxy S7 comes into question.

What Sony provides in upcoming Xperia XZ2 https://icdst.org/blog/index.php/2018/02/20/what-sony-provides-in-upcoming-xperia-xz2/ Tue, 20 Feb 2018 11:28:33 +0000 http://icdst.org/blog/?p=235 Sony will show some new Android smartphones at the Mobile World Congress, some of which will feature the Snapdragon 660 and a new design. About the latter we had already written, the design will be revised at least for the upcoming Xperia XZ2 series. This is also confirmed by the latest teaser, which evidently indicates the strongly rounded back and thus a better feel.

In addition to the teaser via Twitter, there were also new observations in the benchmark, there are several unknown devices with Snapdragon 660 appeared. So Sony is planning with mid-range smartphones, which can certainly convince with performance. So far, Qualcomm’s 660 has rarely been installed, which is a shame for us because of its top-of-the-line processor cores. Sony will show new devices on February 26th.
